Como vimos anteriormente, si el hombre olvida pronunciar la bendición sobre la Torá en la mañana, con las bendiciones matutinas, y se recuerda después de haber recitado la plegaria de Shajrit –matutina-, no debe pronunciarla pues la bendición sobre la lectura de la Shemá Israel lo exime de esta obligación.

Ya vimos anteriormente que las mujeres están exentas de recitar la Shema Israel pues se trata de un precepto activo limitado en el tiempo, por la mañana y la noche, y todos los preceptos de este tipo, en la halajá “mitzvat asé shehazeman gueramá” las mujeres se hallan exentas. Según Maran es conveniente de todas formas que la mujer recite la Shemá pues así recibe el yugo celestial sobre ella.

Asimismo, hemos visto que según Maran, la mujer no debe bendecir la observancia de preceptos de los que se halla exenta. Por ello, la mujer no debe pronunciar las bendiciones sobre la lectura de la Shema pues técnicamente se halla exenta de cumplir dicho precepto.

Retomando el tema de las bendiciones de la Tora, debido a que la mujer no recita las bendiciones sobre la lectura de la Shema, si olvidó la mujer en la mañana pronunciar las bendiciones sobre la Torá debe pronunciarlas aún si ya hubiese rezado la plegaria de Shajrit, pues como vimos al no pronunciar las bendiciones sobre la Shema no se eximió de las bendiciones sobre la Torá que no pronunció en la mañana.
