PLEGARIAS O BENDICIONES FRENTE A UN BAÑO

Dice el ver. “Y tu campamento será sagrado” y el Talmud (Berajot 23) aprende de este ver. que no se deben pronunciar las plegarias, Shema Israel o cualquier otro pronunciamiento sagrado frente a un excremento. Y así lo legisla el Shuljan Aruj cap. 70.

Es oportuna recordar cuánto se cuidaba nuestro maestro R. Ovadia Yosef “l al respecto, ya que todo su accionar se ceñía a las reglas de comportamiento de un “talmid hajam” -erudito-. Por ello incluso se abstenía de pisar sobre las alcantarillas de desague ya que allí por lo general reina un olor hediondo y no quería que el mismo lo impregne.

Asimismo esta prohibición alcanza a los baños, o sea leer frente a un inodoro o poceta, aún cuando el mismo se halle totalmente limpio. La prohibición aplica cualquier distancia desde la que se pueda verlo.

De todas formas, la persona que por cuestiones de remodelación desea anular un baño de su casa y reconvertirlo en depósito, etc. puede hacerlo y al realizar cualquier cambio estructural en el lugar, por ej. si retira la poceta y tapa el lugar, pierde el recinto su condición de impureza y podrá pronunciar cuestiones sagradas incluso dentro del lugar
